The latest Version is now live in Apple's AppStore. Here is a list with the most important new functions:
One of the most successful sailing apps keeps getting better. Thanks to our active users, many of there requests are fulfilled now
Weather integration: myLog now has a weather tab, where you get information about temp, humidity, wind, etc for the moment and as a forecast for the following days.
Automatic logging with weather: based on your settings, each new waypoint has location, weather and wind info automatically set. Of course, you remain in full control on when the app connects to the internet. When enabled, myLog will attempt to get fresh weather data every time 2 nautic miles (nm) or 20 minutes have passed. In between, the existing weather data will be used
In the settings tab, you can enable the new „upload foots only when wifi available“: you can use our upload feature to share your current sailing position and progress any time and upload the heavier data in the evening when you have access to a wifi network.
Sailing positions: you can now log your current sails info
When uploading many new waypoints, myLog assists you with the handling of the upload.
You can go to „Trip Settings“ and reset the upload status of your trip (very handy if you had difficult network conditions on your trip and want to make sure that everything is uploaded)

What myLog can do
myLog handles all your sailing trips
With myLog you can create any number of log book entries for each trip (waypoints). For each waypoint myLog automatically stores the global position, headway over ground, course over ground as well as the distance from the last waypoint and the total distance. For each waypoint you can make a photo or add one from the album. Each waypoint can be commented with text modules or you enter your own text. With coverflow you can browse through your waypoints like a in real log book. Publish your trip to the web via http://mysailinglog.com Tell your friends your latest position: by Twitter or Facebook and by email. At home you can preserve your boat holiday by printing your trip and creating a Google® Earth compatibles KML file.
How does myLog work?
You reach the waypoint mode by tapping on the created trip. This is the actual log book. Here your log book entries, the so-called waypoints are created and stored. Tap on + and ... you hear the sound. Now you have created a new waypoint with GPS location, speed over ground (SoG) and course over ground (CoG). Additionally, the distance from the last waypoint and the total distance of the trip is stored in nm. A picture is worth a thousand words: Take a picture of your new waypoint. Tap on the new waypoint in the list to edit. Name, text proposals for weather or situation and free comments can be edited.
Tipp: You can edit your basic trip data any time - also after you have started to create waypoints. You can also alter the map of the region when you decide to change your route.
